Blood Stains on Carpet

Today we were called out to three large old blood stains on carpet, Unfortunately we were not able to remove them. As you can see from the images below, We could only slightly improve them not remove them, There are a number of reasons for this, the stains may not have actually been blood stains on carpet, The customer could have put shop bought chemicals on it first which would counteract the chemicals we were trying to use, The stains could have been in the carpet for a long time or the carpet itself is made out of a material that is resistant to stain removal process’s such as wool carpets and fabrics. We did indeed perform a ph test before and after and the carpet was around 4.3 – 5.8 so we also had to ensure we countered that to bring the carpet back to around 7.0 neutral. In total two staff members were there for over two hours in this room alone. They worked in a number of different chemicals into the pile with brushes and even used a generic pre spray at the end to improve the surrounding areas. On some occasions even with all the qualifications and training, Some staining will not budge. This is often the case if the customer has already tried various shop bought chemicals on it first, That then makes it impossible for us to remove a stain as the chemicals used first would react with ours. The customer mentioned their next step is to purchase a carpet dye kit to dye the stains back to colour. If you have a stain you need removing then contact us asap.
